I was on my way to the library when I passed by this bulletin where students are free to write down their reactions to the recent death of Cris Mendez. I am assuming that a similar bulletin is posted in all the other colleges in UP.
Feel free to click on the picture (it’s linked to a bigger file) and peruse what students have to say. Of course, the comments in this bulletin does not necessarily represent the majority of the CMC (College of Mass Communication) student body.

I love these freedom boards. So sad na ngayon lang sya naisip ng SC. UP Masscomm na walang freedom board?! Unthinkable.
Hehe. Andaming views jan, iba-iba. Ang galing nga eh. Andami pang sagutan. Kakatuwa. Pero madumi na sya ngayon, second page na dapat. Hehe.
Teka, taga-CMC ka po ba?

@the jester-in-exile
i don’t think she’s from ncpag. i hope she’s not from ncpag. we commented on her views for her to see how Cris’s friends feel about her stupid remarks. hindi pa rin sya natinag.

I just read about this ria person. It’s sad that there are people like her who still believe that there’s no one else to blame for Cris’ death but Cris himself. It’s like saying that a rape victim deserves to be raped because “she put herself in that position” by wearing a miniskirt or going to bar…
I’m all for freedom of expression but I have to admit that after reading her blog, I’d like to meet her and slap some sense into her.
