Resolutions
First, a small rant.
Gawd. I hate brats. I just read the now notorious blog entry of Tracy Isabel Borres, a senior at Ateneo, who just bashed the Aetas she lived with during her immersion. The conceit! Princess-y, spoiled brats like TIB should be made to sit through several hours of Bill Maher to understand what “dark and quirky” humor means. Jessica Zafra she is NOT!
Gawd. I just hate brats so much!
Moving on…
A run through of what happened in 2008:
- I got promoted. The title changed but since I’ve been basically doing the kind of work the title called for, no biggie.
- I stopped school. Life-altering decision but still no regrets. Damn the system!
- I got engaged. The highlight of my year.:)
- I got my new macbook, Junior! He’s now gotten rough around the edges (nothing a little mighty bond can’t fix) and I’ve stopped my splurging. I still spend more time with him than with anyone else though.
- I went to my first team building at work. It was an experience. *bawal tumawa!*
- Bought stocks for the first time. Will probably never do it again. It’s very similar to gambling pala.
- Invested money on a business. So far, so good.
- Had more bonding moments with Mac’s family. (I’m getting three more brothers! Who needs a sister?
) - I discovered the joy of torrent.
- I had a facebook account which I decided to delete a couple of months later. Now as the year is about to close, I re-opened my account.
- I successfully stayed clear of brats! (okay, that wasn’t really major but I just had to put that in)
- I witnessed a true-to-life romantic story.
- My room’s now yellow.
- I discovered Frozen Brazo de Mercedes. (yum!)
- Instead of losing 10 pounds, I gained another 10 pounds! Que horror!
- I am now a mac addict three times over: I have a macbook, my fiance’s nickname is Mac, and now, my make-up is MAC. Two are expensive, one is priceless (naks!).
Resolutions for 2009:
- Lose 20 pounds.
- Get that other promised promotion.
- Save up for wedding. NO GADGET UPGRADE FOR TWO YEARS!
- Plan for the wedding. Book ALL suppliers.
- Get more quality time with family. My days of being single are numbered!
- Hang out with friends more.
- Stay clear of brats!
- Support piracy. (I have my reasons)
- Read more books.
- Be happy.
- Be nicer.
- Stay honest.
2009 is my last year of being single. I’m going to make it count.
Happy New Year everyone!

I hope everything will be fine this year for you. Keep on posting!
Thanks Paurong! Happy 2009 to you as well!
